Join stART studio for a hands-on experience learning to throw on a potter's wheel with the expert guidance of Sarah Ashcroft or Sue Lyle, a seasoned local potter. This fast and fun taster is a great way to see if you enjoy it and a great starting point to your pottery journey.

About the class
Have you ever wanted to have a go at throwing your own hand made pots on the pottery wheel? Or perhaps rekindle an old hobby? Our studio is the ideal place for you to get started on your journey, offering small group sessions for a one to one teaching experience. Whether you come alone or with friends, it's a fantastic opportunity to enjoy working with clay! This relaxed 1 hour session is fast and fun and includes experienced tutors Sarah Ashcroft or Sue Lyle to guide you. You'll create numerous pots in the time frame —some will be exceptional—and you can select your favourites to be fired. You also have the option of returning to glaze your pots for an additional fee of £4 per pot. This includes a two hour glazing session, complimentary drinks and refire.
