The Art and Pottery café, including wheel hire is OPEN on:
Fridays between 1:30pm and 5:00pm
Saturdays between 9:30am and 4pm
Wednesdays (school holidays only) between 9:30am-4pm
Our Art and Pottery cafe sessions including wheel hire are for you to switch off, relax and work independently on your own, with your friends or family. Our team are there to help you get started and set you up with all the resources you need and a complimentary drink.
(Please note our wheel hire is only available to those who have completed a taster as we want you to get the most out of your practise time. The wheels are not available for first timers, you are more than welcome to use the wheel after a booked taster. Any questions please text or call us before hiring the wheels 07985405703)
At our Art and Pottery Café, we offer a range of art activities that provide the perfect escape from your busy schedule.
Our friendly staff will guide you through painting pottery, sculpting your own pieces from stoneware clay, painting on a canvas, or dabbling in watercolours, so you can relax and enjoy the process. Whether you're looking for independent time, a family activity, or a fun outing with friends, our art activity menu has something for everyone.
Available to book every Saturday 9:30am - 3:30pm and Friday 1:30pm - 5:30pm. In quieter periods you can stay as long as you like - in busier periods your table is booked for 1.5 hours of creative time.
We also open our Art and Pottery Cafe on
Wednesdays in the school holidays 9:30am-3:30pm
(To enjoy the maximum time in busy periods please make sure your booking is 1.5 hours prior to our closing hours.)
*NEW* The CLAY STOP
A space for you to work on your clay projects independently or with friends. This is an unguided session. You can book a table for 1.5 hours hand-build or a wheel and enjoy turning that blob into something amazing, practical or fun.
(PLEASE NOTE: You must be 16 + and have completed a wheel taster or pottery course before working on this machinery independently)
Wheel hire is available to book in one hour slots on Fridays from 1:30pm and Saturdays starting from 9:30am. Please ensure you book 1.5 hours before our closing time to ensure you don't feel rushed.
One hour throwing or hand building (Non-Tutored) = £10 per person (or family of 1 adult and 1 child) per hour and includes unlimited stoneware clay. (you will need to clean your wheel in this time slot too)
Trimming + firing (you will need to clean your wheel in this time slot too)
FIring costs will depend on the size of your item. You can choose not to fire anything and just play or the firing charge starts at £2 to £25 per item)
£5 trimming service for your pots is additional
A Glazing session - Glazing your pieces in either a decorative or stoneware glaze is £4 per piece and includes glazes and refire.
Glaze at home is no problem. We can work out a price at the studio.
Larger pieces will be charged accordingly
